HistoRail® is a railway museum created in 1987, inaugurated on July 2, 1988, and managed since by Volunteers passionate about history and rail travel. This museum invites you on a one-of-a-kind journey to discover the universe of railways. On 1000 m² of rooms and exteriors, in a former shoe factory, born thanks to the arrival of the railway in Saint-Léonard de Noblat, in 1881. The place now houses a collection of railway objects. more diverse, in a scenography invented for our museum which gives each object a special place according to the overall journey of discovery in the two rooms and the exteriors. Depuis 53 ans, le Festival du Mont-Gargan s'est fixé pour objectif d'animer son petit bout territoire au pied du Mont-Gargan, haut lieu & de la Haute-Vienne (87), au travers de manifestations aussi différentes que : bal trad, marché de producteurs, spectacles, bals, marche etc... Un peu d'histoire !! M. Desbordes, instituteur à la Croisille-sur-Briance, et membre du groupe de l'Escòla dau Mont-Gargan , eu l'idée de créer une manifestation au sommet du Mont-Gargan. Le tout 1er festival, qui ne s'appelait pas encore comme cela, vit le jour le 28 Août 1966. Aujourd'hui et 53 ans plus tard, 95 groupes français et étrangers ont découverts notre région, et des milliers de spectateurs ont découverts des cultures différentes, des pays différents, des régions françaises différentes. Depuis 1992, le Festival du Mont-Gargan se déroule tous les 15 août, et depuis 2012, ce festival de déroule sur 4 jours. Depuis 1966, plusieurs dizaines de membres et bénévoles de l'Escòla dau Mont-Gargan se mobilisent au cœur de l'été pour faire de cette manifestation, un festival reconnu pour la promotion et la diffusion des Arts et Traditions Populaires et la culture occitane. Malgré les difficultés, les anciens présidents, Lucienne Lascaux, Jean-Loup Deredempt et Eliane Mazabraud, ont su tenir le cap. Qu'ils en soient remerciés aujourd'hui !

The Vézère Passion Nature Sports Station offers you a fun and friendly exploration of the Vézère valley thanks to a varied range of outdoor activities. Located in Uzerche, called the pearl of the Limousin, Vézère Passion welcomes you in an old restored mill on the banks of the Vézère. Thanks to a range of outdoor sports activities you will discover a natural and preserved heritage. On site you will find a refreshment bar with terrace, a campsite and a group accommodation.

On the occasion of the World Cup kayak descent which takes place on the Haute Vézère in Treignac, from 5 to 10 June 2019, rafting trips are organized during the day of Saturday, June 8, the opportunity to discover this river mythical !
